JOB SUMMARY:
The Porter position is an autonomous role requiring considerable time, effort, professionalism, independence, ingenuity, collaboration, efficiency, integrity, coordination, and determination. The individual who fills this role must be willing and able to fulfill the entire suite of duties, goals, and responsibilities of this position under daily guidance, direction and supervision.

- Education:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Experience:
- 1 year of porter or equivalent work experience.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Certificate/Licensure:
- Valid driver's license.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Fleet department with general maintenance needs of equipment such as power washing and moving equipment onsite.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and respectful manner.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Safe driving record.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to perform light maintenance on equipment such as the power washer.
- Ability to use personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA exposure control program.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, other employees, and the general public.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Generally, the employee filling this position will be expected to be present at the project location for an 8-hour shift and/or as directed by the Fleet Director or designated representative. May work extended hours including weekends and holidays.
- Job functions will be carried out in a vast array of environments including but not limited to maintenance facilities, job sites, customer facilities, vehicles, agricultural sites, landfills, end user facilities, etc.
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.
- Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
- The workplace is in a smoke-free environment.
- PPE is required and must be worn as instructed.
- Must adhere to all safety requirements.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
100% - Operates in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state and federal requirements, Customer and Company expectations for the Fleet department.
- Participates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by the Manager.
- Notify Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Provide feedback on the necessary equipment and supplies to complete the required tasks safely and efficiently.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime and/or weekends.
Afternoon/Evening - Noon to 8 pm. May be earlier schedule in winter due to daylight.
