BSA Officer

Job Summary
The Bank Secrecy Act Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other related regulations. This position is responsible for overseeing the bank's anti-money laundering (AML) program, conducting internal audits, and ensuring that all regulatory reporting requirements are met. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of financial regulations, enabling them to effectively detect and prevent fraud.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the bank's BSA/AML compliance program.
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Prepare and submit all required regulatory reports in a timely manner.
• Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and conduct investigations as necessary.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
• Provide training to staff on BSA/AML policies and procedures, including fraud prevention detection techniques.
• Utilize financial software to analyze account activities and identify potential risks.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting the banking industry.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and banking operations.
• Proficiency in financial auditing techniques and practices.
• Familiarity with ACH transactions and related compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and regulatory agencies.
• Experience with regulatory reporting processes and documentation requirements.
• Knowledge of fraud prevention detection methods is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
