What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at New Edge Construction?
The Laborer will assist with cleaning out contents from houses, demo work, running materials to jobsites and help with remodeling crews as needed. Ideal candidate must have, reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and clean driving record. Ability to haul and back up a trailer is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean out houses, remove debris and perform demo work as needed.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
- Assist with the setup and takedown of tools and equipment.
- Perform general labor duties such as digging, lifting, and carrying heavy objects.
- Operate tools such as hammers, saws, and drills under the supervision of a skilled worker.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to haul and back up a trailer is a must.
- At least 18 years old.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to St Louis and surrounding Counties
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Work may be performed in residential and commercial environments.
- Work may involve exposure to dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards.
Pay: $17 - $19 per hour
