Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and analyze quantitative portfolio data, financing and partnership agreements, legal documents and other materials as part of project due diligence process
- The Analyst will work on real estate acquisitions with the main focus being on GP-led restructurings, the recapitalization of joint ventures, and other structured solutions including preferred equity opportunities.
- Manage existing and develop new relationships with owners, and operators of commercial and multi-family Real Estate throughout NYC
- Complete initial opportunity evaluation and analysis
- Perform property and market level due diligence.
- Perform and oversee complex financial analyses and modeling with minimal supervision, including real estate cash flow projections, ARGUS valuation models,
- Gather and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data to perform market analysis
- Draft Offering Memorandums, analysis and deliverables that guide the decision making process and provide actionable strategic recommendations
- Conduct detailed analysis of legal, loan and financial documents to understand a property’s capital structure
- Read and review documents/sales comps and prepare abstract reports
- Interact with LPs and institutional investors/lenders in the context of transaction execution process and new business development
- Develop and recommend financing alternatives
- Convert relationships into exclusive financing mandates
- Work within a team framework to execute transactions
- Assist in negotiations with capital sources providing both debt and equity, where necessary
Experience, Skills And Abilities Required
To achieve the stated objectives for this position the following experience will be required:
- 2 years experience in commercial real estate, preferably in an intermediary capacity
- Proven track record of underwriting & closing commercial loans, Bridge Loans & Preferred Equity/Mezzanine Debt transactions
- Comprehensive knowledge of the entire capital stack including equity partnerships / promote structures
- Ability to review real estate documents (loan documents, leases, appraisals, etc.) to determine if any issues exist and determine what could be a concern.
- Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal quantitative, writing, and communication skills; able to interface with top level executives.
- Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Argus, PowerPoint and Word is required
- Ability to multi-task in a team-oriented environment and work successfully under pressure while effectively managing time and workload with strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines
- A desire to work within a collaborative, and ambitious professional and investor facing environment
- Previous experience with a developer, mortgage brokerage, bank, fund, CMBS or investment banking, preferred
- Attention to detail / thoroughness / focus / determination
- Organized and prioritizes work
- Capable to work independently while possessing a team player attitude
- Fluency in Mandarin and or Cantonese
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, with exceptional academic credentials (Masters in Real Estate or CFA preferred)

Salary : $55,000 - $85,000
