Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment used in our anaerobic digestion and RNG operations. This role requires a proactive individual who can conduct daily rounds, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation.
Duties
- Conduct daily rounds to inspect and monitor equipment performance, including digesters, gas upgrading systems, and manure handling equipment
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on anaerobic digestion systems, such as pumps, mixers, and heat exchangers
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including biogas compressors, blowers, and gas storage systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Participate in an on-call rotation to address emergency maintenance needs
- Collaborate with peers to ensure optimal system performance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
- This is a physical job, requiring significant stamina and mobility to work with and around motorized equipment. Must be able to lift, stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, grasp, climb, push/pull, and work at heights up to 40 feet and in confined spaces. May be required to move up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Candidates must be able to respond quickly to signals to avoid injury or equipment leaks
- Required to work with a computer; must be able to read O&M’s
- Must be aware of and follow all safety procedures and OSHA requirements
- Must wear company-provided safety gear
- Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions during work activities, including heat, snow, and inclement weather
- Must be able to be on call in case of plant emergencies or incidents
- Must be willing to work overtime, shift work, weekends, flexible hours, and holidays
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in the anaerobic digestion, dairy manure, or RNG sector
- Proficiency with CMMS software
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
- Experience with specific equipment such as digesters, biogas compressors, and gas upgrading systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
