Solar Pile Driving Operator Job Description
Description:
Nesco is looking for an experienced heavy equipment operator that is self-sufficient and willing to learn. The equipment operator is responsible for the safe and efficient install of piles. Experience with forklifts and skidsteers is a plus. Our fleet of pile drivers includes Gayks, PD10’s and GRT’s. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes initiative on site and will willing to learn. Pile driving is a small scope of what we do and the candidate must be willing to help out in other scopes of work on site (racking, modules, wire pulls, etc). Must be willing to travel and work on the road most of the year.
Responsibilities:
1. Review drawings for technical specifications and tolerances
2. Perform accurate material take offs
3. Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
4. Perform daily maintenance and conducts pre-operational checks on equipment
5. Install quality piles (quality over quantity everyday)
6. Assist with material offload and material management
7. Able to assist with post refusal remediation work
8. Promote and comply with federal, state and company safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
1. Confidently operates pile drivers, forklifts and skid steers
2. Flexibility to travel from project to project for extended durations
3. Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience
4. Ability to read detailed mechanical drawings
5. Knowledge of post install tolerances, how to set up stringline and shoot in lasers (pipe lasers and multiplane lasers)
6. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Time management – Able to turn in paperwork in a timely manner (JHA’s, toolbox talks, timecards, daily reports, etc.)
8. Works well in a team setting
9. Willing and able to work on any task on site
10. Overtime required based on project needs
11. Clean driving record and means of transportation
12. Osha 10 certified
13. Pass a drug screening

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
