New England Academy is a private, college prep therapeutic day school that specializes in trauma-informed supports for students with social/emotional disabilities ranging from grades 7-12. New England Academy offers students a supportive, nonbehavioral learning environment that addresses their executive functioning and social emotional needs in the context of an academically rigorous curriculum in order to prepare for post secondary life.We are seeking a highly organized, experienced professional candidate to serve in the role of Dean of Admissions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents with social and/or emotional challenges, leading admissions, and working with parents. The Dean of Admissions will supervise, coordinate and lead the admissions of all students.
Administratively, the Dean will assist in program planning, development and management of admissions and directly interact with students and parents in connection with these services on a regular basis.Job Responsibilities: oCoordinates all components of admissions (student referrals, student and parent interviews and admissions).oLeads the Admissions Committee meetings.oCoordinates student placement with referring school district and/or parent.oProduces and maintains admissions packets.oRepresents NEA at school fairs.oArrange visit days for potential students, follows up with staff post-visit.oInterviews and tours students.oProvides 1:1 clinical support to new students during their transition.oProvides 1:1 counseling support to students.oMaintains all admissions data and tracking of referral information.oMonitors contracts from sending school districts and parents.oCoordinates and communicates with referred students treatment team members.oAssists in program planning and development.
