Job Overview
New England Aquatic Services LLC is a pond and lake maintenance company specializing in mechanical services such as Hydraulic Dredging, Mechanical Aquatic
Vegetation Control, Diver Assisted Suction Harvesting for vegetation control, and hydro-raking. We are seeking a project manager to oversee and work with a crew and possibly multiple crews to execute the various project types throughout the business. Training in the specific services will be provided.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in project management, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with our strategic objectives. This role requires proficiency in project implementation, cost control, and effective communication across teams.
We provide services both locally in Connecticut and throughout the Northeastern United States which requires travel during those projects. These projects typically require travel for 1-2 weeks at a time allowing for the return on weekends. There are occasionally long term projects with longer blocks of time which require longer durations of travel. There is additional compensation while traveling.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute projects related to the different services provided by the company.
- Manage and organize employees on a specific crew and/or potentially oversee multiple crews and projects
- Personally execute work including project set up and equipment operation as needed
- Complete daily reports and data collection as needed
- Manage project costs
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages problem solving and effective teamwork
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management which may include experience in landscaping or construction fields
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive results.
- Strong communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working with or around machinery
- Ability to travel throughout the Northeastern U.S. overnight on remote projects for 1-2 weeks at a time.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid drivers license

- Experience operating heavy machinery

- CDL
- SCUBA certification
