A regional auction house is looking to add a full-time Graphic Designer/Auction Generalist to their dynamic team. New England Auctions is a mid-sized auction company that is owner-operated by Fred and Kathy Giampietro who have more than 40 years experience in the field of fine art and antiques. Located in Branford, CT, New England Auctions holds monthly curated in-house and online auctions that showcase the best in Americana, fine art, collectibles, jewelry, etc.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team in graphic design, social media, digital media management and website and IT admin. The ideal candidate will possess strong design skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The role is essential in capturing the widest targeted audience for the auction house while providing strong in-house design and digital media management.
Full Time Responsibilities:
- Design all print and web-based ads
- Design/order color-printed catalogues for important collections
- Manage and update New England Auctions website and any other IT functionality
- Design and implement regular e-blasts and newsletters
- Create and edit videos for social media posts
- Create feature articles for industry publications
- Organize and upload digital photography from Dropbox onto company's platform
- Upload photography and/or CSV information onto third party platforms
- Assist with cataloguing auction items onto company's platform
- Oversee auction day tech set-up with computers, video and audio
- Assist with auction day clerking, phone and absentee bids
- Post auction reconciling and uploading of invoices to third party platforms
Skills:
- Strong graphic design skills with both print and digital media
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in Dropbox and digital media management
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in digital photography is beneficial, but not required
- Experience in the auction/fine art field is beneficial, but not required
