Adult Services Counselors work in our residential adult services program and provide direct care support to our adult consumers. Counselors are trained to use ABA therapy to implement and enhance their clinical, educational, and vocational skills and will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, cooking, cleaning, toileting, and shopping. They are also trained in medication administration (MAP), student van transportation, and verbal and physical de-escalation of challenging behaviors (CALM training), allowing our students to effectively communicate their needs, improve their problem-solving skills, and maintain their well-being.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 1 year of relevant experience
- Willingness to help students who engage in challenging behaviors
- Must be able to communicate and provide verbal instruction clearly with our adult consumers
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
- CPR training completion through NECC within 6 months of employment
- Successful completion of NECC training - Physical and Verbal De-escalation training (CALM) and Medication Administration training (ability to get MAP Certified)
