What You’ll Do
The essential duties and responsibilities for the Estimating Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist the Director of Estimating and the Senior Estimator with the day-to-day operations of the Estimating Department.
2. Must be able to handle a high volume of inbound/outbound calls. Must be able and comfortable to use the telephone to reach out to subcontractors on a daily basis.
3. Ability to interact and communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing with co-workers and subcontractors.
4. Updating vendor/subcontractor information on the company database
5. Must be able to develop and maintain good relationships with the project management team, peers, and subcontractors.
6. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as in a team.
7. Honesty, integrity, loyalty, and the ability and willingness to make the Company’s best interests the number one priority.
8. Ability to follow the NEC Way for Estimating including, but not limited to getting plans on the street, phone call cycle, bid day, etc.
9. General administrative support to the estimating team where necessary
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
1. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
2. Needs to have exceptional phone skills
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)
4. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management and subcontractors
What You’re Bringing to the Table
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. One to three years of general office/administrative experience
3. Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job.
