What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at New England Dental Arts?
We are a unique practice and require a unique team member. If this is you, this will be your dream position as a valued team member filled with endless opportunities, empowering work space as the chairside of Master Restorative Dentist—David Bloom DMD. As we're non-insurance based, we have the luxury to take as much time as necessary to relate to our patients and time for proper diagnosis and treatment. Dr Bloom is Pankey trained with sub-specialties in TMJ pain and dysfunction and aesthetic solutions. We see patients within the tri-state area, it's common for patients to drive hours just for a second opinion.
You will be his chairside with all the responsibilities associated with assisting in restorative and aesthetic treatments. Our practice is gorgeous (newly renovated), and pride ourselves on taking the time to exceed expectations. We work with all the digital technologies—skills working with CEREC, Panorax and Cone Beam Imaging are a plus. We also have a very busy in-house lab and we'd love to have you cross-train. We'll train you as to how to assist with or TMJ patients. Let's start at two days a week— Monday (8-3pm) Tues (8-4), Thurs (8-3)— the position could grow to three days if you're a good fit for us.
We're looking for youthful energy and a thirst to learn. You must be a team player with at least two years of dental assisting experience in a restorative practice and feel comfortable on the computer. Great communication skills are very important—you must make our patients feel at ease while sharing specific treatment goals and practice philosophy.
Dr Bloom is very progressive—always training on new procedures and technologies, so you will be challenged constantly. Before we hire, we'll ask you for a working interview to see how if you are the right fit. And (unlike other practices), if we have time free time (due to a cancellation) we will not send you home unpaid. For the right person, this is a dream position.
We look forward to meeting you!
