Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Dental Hygienist located in Watertown, MA. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care, has strong interpersonal skills, and is passionate about educating patients on oral health. This role involves performing preventive dental care, assisting with patient treatment plans, and ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for every patient.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing.
• Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting.
• Take and evaluate digital X-rays as needed.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive dental care.
• Assist dentists with patient evaluations and treatment recommendations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic dental software Eaglesoft.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
• Support a welcoming and comfortable environment for all patients.
Qualifications:
• Valid Massachusetts Dental Hygienist license (required).
• Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
• CPR/BLS certification (required).
• Local Anesthesia Permit (preferred but may be required)
• Experience with digital X-rays and electronic health records is a plus.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
• Ability to educate and build trust with patients regarding their oral health.
