New England Donor Services (NEDS) coordinates organ and tissue donation in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, the eastern counties of Vermont and Bermuda. Responsible for one of the largest of the 55 Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) that make up the nation’s donation system, NEDS works with over 200 hospitals and serves nearly 15 million people in our region, screening nearly 55,000 potential donor referrals annually. With approximately $140M in operating revenues, NEDS employs 360 clinical and non-clinical staff members throughout New England and across the country.

Job Description
Under the general direction of the Sr. Director, Hospital Donation Strategy, the Resource Development Strategist is responsible for the development and deployment of hospital partner programs and serves as a dedicated liaison to targeted departments, utilizing a service line approach to training and education initiatives, with a special emphasis the authorization and referral processes and related strategies such as preliminary discussions. Utilizing organizational data and metrics, the Resource Development Strategist is also responsible for assisting in process improvement and standardization initiatives in all aspects of field training resources. This position would also maintain a reduced hospital assignment to serve the duties required by a Hospital Donation Strategist.
The position will require travel to New England Donor Services hospital partners and the New England Donor Services Waltham office.
FOCUS AREAS/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Serves as a dedicated resource and liaison to the Donation Strategy team, with a focus on ensuring comprehensive education plans are developed and deployed to our hospital partners in a manner that will impact our key performance indicators.
- Participates in tracking, analysis and reporting on all data elements associated with the Hospital Donation Strategy Team’s metrics, performing on-going data analysis to target specific areas for improvements using a variety of sources, to include nonconformances. In conjunction with department leaders, participates in on-going data analysis to target specific areas for improvement.
- Works with Hospital Donation Strategy Team, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and department leaders to develop interactive materials, including asynchronous and instructor-led programs, e-learnings, multimedia content, compliance training, onboarding, and other supporting materials to ensure an effective learning experience for hospital partners, utilizing evidence-based engagement and knowledge transfer and retention strategies.
- Facilitates key aspects of field resource materials, including course development and evaluation, leading sim session facilitation and overseeing debriefing sessions. Supports simulation activities by anticipating, preparing, and providing the appropriate materials and supplies required based on scenario parameters.
- Participates in the development, dissemination and evaluation of surveys related to hospital initiatives and feedback responsible for analysis of results to identify any needed modifications.
- Researches and stays current with emerging educational technologies and provides coaching and training to Hospital Donation Strategy team on delivery of learning solutions.
- Performs duties and responsibilities that are outlined in the Hospital Donation Strategist job description.
- Serves as an active member on related committees.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, communication, psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university; or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required. Experience working in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Hospital Development experience preferred. OPO experience required.

- Computer & Application Literacy: Proficiency Microsoft 365 suite, Learning Management Systems, TrueNorth, Slack as well as ability to navigate the internet.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Required to travel by personal vehicle and NEDS authorized vehicles to meet the duties and responsibilities of this position. Must maintain the requirements of an “eligible driver” including maintaining an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and required minimum personal automobile insurance per NEDS automobile policy.
- Valid state driver’s license required and must be at least 21 years of age to drive for NEDS business.
