What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ticket Sales Internship position at New England Free Jacks?
Overview: The Free Jacks ticketing internship is an introductory sales role for students looking to break into the sports industry and gain valuable experience. Interns will work directly with the Vice President of Ticketing and Ticketing Manager in all areas of our ticketing program, including prospecting, sales outreach, membership retention, and box office sales. Interns are expected to be a part of the program for its entirety, which runs January through May. Interns will work 10-15 hours per week which can include office work, remote projects, outside events, and matchdays. Internships are intended to be completed to fulfill course credit requirements.
Qualifications: Ideal candidates will be looking to break into the sports industry and have an interest in exploring if sales is an ideal path for them. They will bring curiosity, a desire to learn, and a team first attitude to the role. They will be detail oriented, a good listener, and customer service focused.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Assist sales team with prospecting efforts in relation to our group sales program
● Learn best practices surrounding ticketing systems including SeatGeek and Hubspot CRM
● Develop your own sales “voice” and engage in outreach to prospects
● Work Free Jacks match days in a variety of roles including box office sales, gameday activations, and hospitality management.
● Participate in after match follow up calls to gather feedback from fans and identify future sales opportunities
● Collaborate with other departments including marketing, sponsorship, and event operations
● Other duties as assigned
