High School Hebrew Language Teacher
New England Jewish Academy in West Hartford, CT, is looking for a part-time High School Hebrew Language teacher. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of teaching experience and will :
Be fluent in Hebrew (Speaking, Reading, and Writing)
Have a comprehensive understanding of Israeli Culture
Plan, prepare, and deliver active learning experiences
Provide an environment that encourages participation, recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group, and offer support and flexibility as needed
Continually assess student progress toward mastery of standards and keep students and parents well-informed of student progress by collecting and tracking data
Understand and enjoy the academic, social, and behavioral characteristics of high school students and can create a respectful learning environment, including setting and maintaining appropriate standards of student behavior
Cultivate positive relationships with each student
Develop a trusting partnership with parents.
