The New England Knockouts are a professional baseball team providing affordable, family-friendly entertainment in the Frontier League, a Major League Baseball Partner League. The Knockouts play their home games at the 4,700-capacity Campanelli Stadium in Brockton, MA; located 45-minutes south of Boston. Playing a 96-game schedule; the Frontier League expanded from 16 to 18-teams for the 2025 season and has presence in and around several major markets in the eastern, central and southern United States as well as Canada.
JOB SUMMARY: The New England Knockouts are hiring a seasonal Certified Athletic Trainer for the 2025 season. The Certified Athletic Trainer is primarily responsible for game and practice coverage, injury prevention and rehabilitation, daily treatments, and maintaining medical records during spring training and for the season.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide management and care for injuries and illnesses including prevention, evaluation, maintenance, and rehabilitation protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with minimum standards and best practices.
• Provide an organzied and clean athletic training room and workspace with current sterilization standards and best practices.
• Daily communication with player’s injury status with all necessary department heads while overseeing administrative tasks.
• Will work primarily from May - August.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• National Athletic Trainer’s Association-Board of Certification in good standing.
• Eligible and in good standing for Massachusetts State Licensure.
• CPR/AED certification.
Desired:
• Prior baseball (preferred) and/or sports experience.
