Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of heavy equipment on construction sites, including but not limited to Loader, excavator, hydraulic hammer, dozer, rock truck, and Skid steer. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery to support construction projects. Both on site and in pit aplication.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as Loader, excavator, hydraulic hammer, dozer, rock truck, and Skid steer.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Dig trenches and perform earth-moving tasks as required for construction projects.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in the transport of materials using tankers or other vehicles as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in the industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on machinery.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment on construction sites.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation is essential.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to equipment operation and construction processes.
