Major Duties and Responsibilities
1) Sales Department Operations
Use floor time effectively to meet customer needs.
Present the features of the motorcycle purchased to the customers along with their benefits.
Point out and explain the use of additional Parts & Accessories that were added to the vehicle.
Review advantages of the HOG membership (National & Local).
Encourage future consideration of Extended Service Plans and Priority Maintenance if not already purchased.
Follow procedures to ensure timely and proper completion of all paperwork and processes. Obtain required signatures.
Clean and maintain appearance of service area and general facilities.
Note delivery problems accurately and clearly and review with Sales Manager.
Review work-in-progress with Shop Foreman to ensure quality and timeliness of delivery.
Create well organized presentations which appeal to our customers.
Clean and organize sales vehicles both on the floor and in the storage area.
2) Customer Service
Ensure the delivery to customer is an "EVENT" which endears the customer to the dealership.
Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
Practice a feature / benefit selling methodology so that all customers receive consistent treatment when doing business.
Conduct pre-delivery inspection of the vehicle prior to delivery to customer following the documented process and making sure all entitlements are completed.
Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to "Make Things Right".
Attend training sessions to keep current with sales techniques and sales department issues.

Requirements
Qualifications
Valid Motorcycle endorsement; ability to push and move any size motorcycle.
Demonstrated willingness to work flexible hours.
Valid driver's license
Must have the ability to get along with a broad customer base.
High energy level.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge and experience with Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and other
products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
Must be able to work effectively with all areas of the dealership to maximize both the buying experience for the customer and the profitability of the dealership.
Be able to work weekends during the peak selling season.
Physical Demands
The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
Requires the ability to balance and push 900lb. motorcycles.
Required to spend the majority of the day on their feet.
Working Conditions
Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other
toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles
