Description

Position : Security Operations Manager

Department : 300 - Field Operations

Reports to : Director of Operations

SUMMARY / SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT :

The Operations Manager is responsible for many daily operation tasks including scheduling of employees and dealing directly with conflicts that arise out of staffing issues or complaints from clients. A Security Operations Manager will escalate issues up the chain of command and follow up on all matters.

JOB DUTIES :

  • Supervise all full-time and part-time security personnel.
  • Train, and evaluate security personnel.
  • Initiate disciplinary actions and terminations as required.
  • Assist in prepare weekly work schedules for full-time and part-time Security Guards, including posting of schedules.
  • Provide security staffing for other functions may be required.
  • Enforce and make recommendations regarding building security plans and schedules.
  • Account for all Security Guards hours, including sick / vacation, etc; review payroll for accuracy for submission to accounting.
  • Approve time off for Security Guards and submit request to the Director of Operations / Assistant Director of Operations for final approval.
  • Implement security measures improvements as they are developed
  • Review all daily Security Guard reports, incident reports and log entries; take necessary action; make follow-up reports to the Director of Operations.
  • Verify and review Tracktik monitoring and reports.
  • Maintain all necessary forms and reports for staff and clients
  • Make recommendations to management on staffing needs, budgeting data, and purchase recommendations.
  • Establish building security plans and schedules for special events.
  • Assist and advise on-duty Security Guards around the clock.
  • Investigate all Security Guard injuries and prepare necessary reports.
  • Participate in day-to-day and special facility functions including service on various committees, task forces, and programs.
  • Assist in monitoring the Security Officer training programs.
  • Other duties as required or arises out of operational needs.

POSITION TYPE AND HOURS :

This is a full-time position and is hourly. This position is eligible for overtime pay.

Days and hours or work will vary depending on the operational needs of the company. It will be expected that all management employees shall be able to meet his or her weekly goals within 40-50 work hours.

Position Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma.
  • At least 2 years experience working in the capacity of a security guard officer or other related field work.
  • PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :

  • Associates Degree
  • Two years of experience in a related field.
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Has knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and how to use a computer.
  • Must be able to deal with various levels of personality traits and maintain self-control.
  • Must conduct oneself in a professional and efficient manner during interaction with people.
  • Must prepare written statements, evaluations and correspondence in a logical and grammatically correct manner.
  • Must be able to cover various shifts including weekends, nights and holidays; and / or work extended hours if needed.
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to work with others.
