Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-up communications.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Document all procedures performed in accordance with dental clinic protocols.
- Support pediatric dentistry practices by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy.
- Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in dental care.
- Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to dental health.
