The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling construction material products to both existing and prospective customers through a variety of sales strategies. This role focuses on maximizing sales growth and account penetration within an assigned territory, driving profitability by securing new business and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Sales Representative, AGG/HMA - What Will You Do?
- Builds and sustains strong relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market, identifying opportunities to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
- Conducts outreach through telephone, in-person sales calls, and presentations to engage with existing and potential customers, tailoring communication to meet their specific needs.
- Identifies and evaluates potential customers through research and analysis, determining their fit and potential value to the organization.
- Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers. Enter all relevant information into CRM database or tracking systems.
- Quickly addresses and resolves customer issues and complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Coordinates sales efforts with sales management, operations, accounting, and quality control.
- Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the existing and prospective customer’s value to the organization.
- Understands the sales pipeline for territory/market and provides forecasting data on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Works with Regional Sales Manager to plan and organize personal sales strategy for the territory/market.
- Provides management with weekly work plans and detailed activity reports, including analysis of individual performance against sales targets and KPIs. Regularly monitor progress and communicates goal attainment, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product applications, QC requirements, market conditions, and competitive activities through regular reading, training, and participation in professional development. Actively engages in ongoing sales training and certifications to stay informed of evolving sales techniques.

Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. High School Diploma may be considered with significant and relevant sales experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience required. Experience in the construction materials industry preferred.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in a consultative sales approach, effectively identifying customer needs and tailoring solutions to drive value and long-term relationships.
- Must be results-driven and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence customers.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/contact management software.
- Valid driver’s license and compliant with NESL Driving Standards.
- Ability to travel as needed.
