Sales Representative, Ready Mixed Concrete

The Sales Representative position serves as a contact point between the customer and NESL. Major duties include contacting current customers to maintain existing relationships. This position also requires generating new leads with prospective clients. Responsibilities include preparation of sales quotes and proposals as necessary, communication with customers to ensure quality of materials and services meet the core values of NESL. 

The salary range for this position starts at $68,000 based on experience. We also offer an excellent benefits package which includes paid time off, use of company vehicle, healthcare, dental, vision and 401k with Company matching.

RMC Sales Representative - What Will You Do?

Essential Functions: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Provide personalized solutions tailored to customer requirements and project specifications.
  • Work closely with production, logistics, and quality control teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Educate customers on the features, benefits, and applications of ready-mixed concrete products.
  • Develop sales quotes for job-specific projects.  
  • Review daily sales registers and update pricing as needed. Send completed sales registers to the billing department by the required deadline.
  • Resolve billing issues for prompt payment.
  • Meet with customers daily, in person, to ensure NESL is meeting customer needs and expectations.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities and adapt sales tactics accordingly.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Assemble yearly Municipal bids ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the bid process.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Follow up on leads and information gathered from field activity.
  • Identify prospective work and public bids.
  • Daily tracking of job progress and customer satisfaction.

 Other Functions: 

  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and foster relationships. Overnight travel is less than 20 days per year.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelors/Undergraduate Degree; Field of study preferred: Construction Technology, Marketing, Business or Engineering.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience required.
  • Previous experience in the construction materials industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and related database systems.
  • Ability to work independently but as part of a team concept.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and good organizational skills with the ability to ensure accurate work.
  • Flexibility and the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license, meeting NESL driving standards.
