About us
New Era Fiber Splicing, LLC is a small business in Southeast Michigan. We are fast-paced, demanding, challenging and our goal is to help our partners provide a speedy deployment of fiber optic networks. Experience is a requirement. Pay is production based, not hourly/salary.
We are looking for a Splicer to join our team. You will be responsible for splicing and terminating cables, installing and testing fiber optic cables, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of splicing techniques and be able to read and interpret technical diagrams. Additionally, the Splicer should have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The work is spread out over the state of Michigan so travel is to be expected, as well as rotating in the on call schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Use hand tools to cut, splice, and terminate cables.
- Perform quality control checks on splices and terminations.
- Install cable pathways and trays.
- Test cables for continuity and proper operation.
- Troubleshoot any issues with cables or splices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
