Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing and Credentialing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, extensive experience with Medicaid billing, and proficiency in using Availity and Office Ally platforms. This role will oversee the billing processes and credentialing of healthcare providers to ensure compliance and optimize revenue cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of medical billing and credentialing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Supervise and mentor billing and credentialing staff, providing training and support as necessary.
- Conduct audits on billing and credentialing processes to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient billing and credentialing operations.
- Monitor accounts receivables and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely payments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicaid regulations and policies affecting behavioral health billing and credentialing.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper documentation and coding practices.
- Utilize Availity and Office Ally for electronic claims submissions and follow-ups.
- Serve as a point of contact for payers, providers, and other stakeholders regarding billing and credentialing inquiries.
- Prepare and maintain reports on billing performance metrics and credentialing status.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical billing, with a focus on behavioral health.
- Proven experience with Medicaid billing requirements and processes.
- Proficiency in Availity, Office Ally, and other relevant medical billing software.
- Strong understanding of coding practices and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
