What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli Sandwich Maker/ Clerk position at New Fairfield Food Center?
VERY busy deli! Only local applicants will be considered!
Must work at least one weekend day

Responsibilities of a Deli Clerk/Delicatessen:
- Educate customers on menu items and daily specials
- Take orders via in-person/phone in a timely manner and transmit to kitchen staff
- Deli preparation (i.e. make sandwiches and fresh salads)
- Operate deli slicers for cold cuts
- Replenish and stock service stations and display case
- Assist Managers as needed
- Sanitize and neaten assigned work areas (dining bar, serving counter, floor, and deli cases)
- Comply with the dress/ health code
Qualifications and Requirements of a Deli Clerk/Delicatessen:
- Posses superior communication skills with customers and staff
- 1 years of previous deli/ grocery store experience
- Ability to work efficiently in what can be a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be a 'team player' that promotes a positive work environment
- Prompt and reliable work ethic
- must live locally- in the New Fairfield area
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
