Support assigned manufacturing engineering activities as directed by the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor and designated Manufacturing Engineers..
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Work effectively as a cell team member to ensure operational metrics are achieved and any remedial action is actively pursued
- Provide manufacturing engineering support and services within assigned manufacturing cell(s)
- Maintain current updates on manufacturing engineering related tasks on the manufacturing cell log
- Design or specify any equipment/tooling/racking required to support manufacturing
- Review relevant engineering change orders (ECOs) within assigned cells or assigned option groups and support all aspects of production implementation
- Implement and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, set-up reduction etc.)
- Assist with assigning default locators to parts within assigned manufacturing cells
- Help update standard work instructions and assist with training as assigned
- Help update and maintain layouts (plant & cell layouts, inventory, housekeeping, emergency, and security maps, etc.)
- Participate with continuous improvement and teamwork
- Conduct observations as assigned to ensure that assigned time standards are fair and consistent
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as assigned, to assist with the disposition of non-conforming materials

Requirements
- Engaged in 4 year Engineer - Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical engineering degree
- Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience working as an effective team player
- Superior computer, organizational, and communications skills
- Goal orientated and motivated to achieve tasks within set timelines
- Auto CAD or UniGraphics, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel experience
