What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at New Fortress Energy?
As the Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing company management reports, dashboard/flash reports and summary key financial and non-financial reports. The Analyst will build, maintain and continually improve the accuracy of the company’s business plan and forecast; including maintaining detailed and flexible models.
What you will do:
•Assist in coordinating all monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes and variance reporting to budget and re-forecast, including setting a regular rhythm with specific timelines and deadlines to meet all public company reporting requirements.
•Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data for the company’s internal and external stakeholders.
•Assist Finance and Investor Relations teams with questions and requests from banks and research firms; assist with providing responses to due diligence requests for debt and equity transactions.
•Provide input and supplemental information related to press releases, earnings call transcripts, and investor presentations.
•Support the Finance team building out reports and running ad hoc analyses to understand project-level performance and operations, primarily utilizing Excel.
•Summarize contracts for the purposes of analyzing and forecasting their impact on the business and the financial statements; run debt covenant tests and ratios to ensure compliance.
•Conduct industry comparable analysis (e.g. industry analysis, competitive position, growth prospects) and credit analyses on current and future customers.
•Assist the Development and Operations teams with annual budgeting and monthly tracking and reporting against those budgets; collect and analyze development budgets and track spend against budget by partnering with the Procurement and Treasury teams.
•Build, maintain and continually improve NFE’s capex, cash flow and liquidity forecasting and tracking efforts.
What you bring:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
•1-2 years of corporate finance or FP&A experience
•Power generation, shipping & transportation or natural gas/LNG industry experience is a plus.
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Oracle Hyperion (or similar systems) and Microsoft Navision (NAV) or Dynamics NAV General Ledger
•Strong modeling and financial analysis skills, coupled with an understanding and interest in financial reporting systems and processes; detail-oriented with excellent analytical, strategic and implementation skills.
•Highly driven, quick thinker and problem-solver; impeccable integrity and a strong personal work ethic.

Incentive Compensation: NFE employees are eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus, determined at NFE’s discretion based on company and individual performance.
