Summary/Objective
The Host at Harry's Grille & Tavern is responsible for greeting guests and assisting them to their tables while creating a positive environment. Maintains and restocks areas in the restaurant as necessary. Assists all guests in a professional and friendly manner.
Essential Functions

• Welcomes, greets and seat guests.
• Performs duties with a customer first mentality.
• Tracks and rotates seating using seating chart to ensure all guests receive great service.
• Operates the floor plan and tracks names on waitlist.
• Updates the floor plan for clean and dirty tables.
• Accurately quotes wait times.
• Cleans and organizes the host area. Keeps menus clean and stocked.
• Answers phones in a timely manner.
• Takes To-Go orders and give order to bartenders.
• Maintains restrooms through each shift by keeping floors clean and stocking with supplies as needed.
• Communicates any guest’s special needs to servers.
• Directs guest to the Control Desk for assisting with bowling and gaming.
• Assist with setting up and taking down gaming at open and close.
• Assist in cleaning and busing tables.
• Assist guests to event areas.
• Reports to work in a neat and clean uniform.

Work Environment
Must be able to work in a fast-paced area. Ability to make quick decisions and respond to guests needs as they arise. Ability to carry multiple plates with food to a designated area.
Physical Demands
• Ability to stand on your feet for up to 8 hours.
• Walking varied distances seating guests.
• Ability to carry trays that weigh 40 pounds.
• Ability to work in a varied temperature range.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Hours are varied. Team Members can be scheduled 10 to 45 hours per week, depending upon availability and needs of the restaurant.
Preferred Education and Experience
Prior experience is preferred but not necessary. Will train for the position. GED or equivalent is preferred.
