Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor is to oversee and support the maintenance staff in installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and waste management. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the facility are maintained effectively and that requests are completed within established timelines and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the relationships with key internal and external vendor partners to ensure processes/procedures are consistently intact throughout department’s various projects, for the sake of the best member and employee experience.
  • Ensures that all service deliverables meet the company’s and department’s expectations.
  • Supports the accounting team with efforts to approve and pay invoices, according to the terms of the contracts, etc.
  • Manages the launch of new site projects and liaise with the staff and members on site.
  • Delivers information concerning project progress to the Director of Facilities.
  • Establishes, maintains, and monitors the ticketing system, to ensure timely response and resolution with tickets.
  • Utilizes the ticketing system to identify and report any/all trends and issues requiring discussion and review with the Director of Facilities.
  • Fosters the daily connection and collaboration between the maintenance team and the on-site staff.
  • Performs additional duties and/or projects as assigned by Director of Facilities, Senior Director Infrastructure, and/or Chief Operations Officer.
  • Completes building inspections on a weekly basis.
  • Supervises Maintenance employees, either directly or indirectly.
  • Completes all leadership responsibilities related to human resources, payroll, staffing, and/or performance management.
  • Reviews documentation of staff for quality assurance and training needs of staff.
  • Meets with supervised staff and in weekly team meetings as well as on an individual basis.
  • Monitors staff productivity and completes performance improvement plans or corrective action in partnership with Human Resources, as necessary.
  • In addition, all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position:

o Participate in walk-throughs which include climbing ladders, squatting and other similar physical demands; requires the ability to maneuver in confined spaces 10% of the time and the ability to perform duties at heights 10% of the time

o Walking and/or standing 85% of the time; 10% of walking may be on un-even terrain

o Ability to sit, stand and bend; ability to complete repetitive motions of hands and wrists with frequent computer use

o Must be able to routinely lift 30-50 pounds

  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
  • Effectively demonstrates versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Effectively collaborates and works within a team, while also effectively demonstrating the ability to take initiative and work well individually
  • Intermediate computer skills – MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), Internet, Electronic Health Record, etc.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Three (3) or more years of equivalent experience required
  • Two (2) or more years of experience supervising Facility technical operations for similar facilities or organizations
  • Supervisory experience in monitoring staff performance and providing direction, coaching, recognition, counseling, and disciplinary action as appropriate, utilizing organizational processes and in alignment with company culture and values
  • CPR/FA certification required
  • Valid AZ driver’s license may be required
  • Successful clearance of annual MVR may be required
  • Successful clearance of pre-employment criminal/county/state background check
  • Successful clearance of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Successful clearance of annual TB PPD testing

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
