The Housekeeper plays a vital role in the lives of the residents living in our Assisted Living & Residential Care Communities. They must bring a special combination of energy, enthusiasm, positive motivation and self-direction to the job. They are an integral part of the team and often act as the spark plug to help ensure resident involvement and satisfaction. They must possess a superior service orientation and be dedicated to seeing that each residents needs are met. They must plan and coordinate their cleaning activities around the needs of the residents. They must also individualize the cleaning of each apartment to the individual tastes of the resident living in it.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to perform housekeeping and laundry procedures which includes in part the following items:
- Ability to lift a mop bucket full of water into and out of the mop cleaning hopper.
- Ability to lift, bend, stretch, squat, stand and other movements to perform general housekeeping functions.
- Ability to mop with a heavy industrial size mop.
- Ability to perform tasks which require fine muscle movement of the hands.
- Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time.
- Desire and physical ability to work with seniors and disabled.
- Ability to read and write English to a level adequate to utilize housekeeping ADL sheets.
- Ability to verbally communicate with the residents in an understandable manner.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
