About the Opportunity
Learn from giants in the field! Our attorneys have argued precedent-setting cases before the highest courts and are recognized as leading experts in humanitarian immigration law. As part of our team, you'll work directly with these mentors while building your own expertise in complex immigration matters.
This is a entry-level position with annual travel for team seminars and professional development. You'll be part of a collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth into leadership roles after your first year.
Responsibilities
- Handle family-based and humanitarian immigration cases under mentor guidance
- Prepare and file comprehensive immigration applications and supporting documents
- Conduct thorough client interviews and develop case strategies
- Research complex immigration issues and contribute to innovative legal solutions
- Maintain detailed case notes and documentation using Filevine
- Collaborate with team members to ensure exceptional client service
- Participate in regular case strategy meetings and professional development sessions
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar license or pending bar admission
- Demonstrated commitment to immigration law and social justice
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and client communication abilities
- Self-starter mentality and ability to manage high-volume caseload
- Technological proficiency and ability to work effectively in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Immigration clinic or internship experience
- Spanish language proficiency
- Experience with immigration forms and procedures
- Familiarity with case management software
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85,000 annually
