Role Overview:
As a Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in the tax department, managing a variety of tax assignments and leading a team of tax professionals. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing tax returns, developing innovative tax planning strategies, and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary documents and information.
- Identify tax issues, develop solutions, and provide innovative tax planning.
- Review complex income tax returns and ensure accuracy.
- Supervise and mentor tax team members to ensure the accurate completion of returns.
- Monitor tax law developments and create strategies to leverage changes for clients.
- Prepare and review technical tax memoranda.
- Resolve notices from tax authorities and manage related correspondence.
- Maintain effective control procedures for all tax processes.
- Train and mentor staff on tax procedures and policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's degree in Accounting/Tax preferred).
- 5-8 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
- Experience with individual, closely held business, and pass-through entity tax returns.
- Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and budgets effectively.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
- Willingness to work in a team and perform administrative tasks as needed.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work in-person multiple days per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA License.
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Experience with high-net-worth individual and multi-state tax returns.
- Experience preparing exempt organization tax returns.
- Experience managing a small team.

Salary : $95,300 - $124,900
