Janitor and Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
• Assist with residential painting and minor facilities maintenance as needed.
• Carry out industrial cleaning tasks in designated areas to uphold safety standards.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient workflow.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning assignments effectively and efficiently.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Experience in custodial services, including commercial cleaning and porter duties.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with residential painting practices is a plus.
• Ability to perform facilities maintenance tasks as required.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and visitors.
