St. Charles School, a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, is looking for a full-time Food Service Coordinator to join our team for the remainder of the 2023/2024 School Year. The Food Service Coordinator will be responsible for managing all of the school’s food service duties (breakfast and lunch) for students and staff. They are also responsible for making sure breakfast and snack items are available throughout the school day. To be successful in this role, you must be a self-starter with strong culinary skills, as well as compassion and patience for the students and staff you'll serve. It will be your responsibility to ensure that food is prepared, cooked, and served with care.
St. Charles School provides academic, social, emotional and behavioral services in a therapeutic setting for male and female students in grades K-8. We are a private provider of special education serving public school students. Our curriculum is non-religious.

Job Duties
· Handle all product/produce ordering in order to provide breakfast, lunch and snacks for the students.
· Create a weekly/monthly budget that is cost effective and efficient for the school.
· Maintain a clean environment as it pertains to all areas related to food service and supplies. This includes monitoring expiration dates.
· Constantly adhere to all safety/health codes as it relates to food preparation/food storage/food disposal and cleaning/maintenance of all food service equipment and food service spaces.
· Lead initiative to implement “new and healthy” alternatives for the students to broaden their food palate.
· Develop and implement a curriculum that will be incorporated into the different classrooms (Primary, Elementary and Middle) weekly.
· Create and run a program allowing staff to purchase breakfast and/or lunch at school, as desired.
· Cater school functions when necessary and implement special holiday meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Requirements
· Prior food service experience is required; ServSafe Certification is preferred and will be required if the applicant does not have a current certificate
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time
