TRAVEL NURSE RN/LPN – Multiple Locations in New Hampshire

Nurses can work a 8 to 13-week assignment with a set schedule, and the potential to pick up overtime from a float pool.
The LTC Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse must provide safe, competent, compassionate and ethical care.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide needed nursing procedures, such as wound care and medication distribution, in order to maintain the safety and optimal health of our residents. Nurses also assist with directing the care provided by LNAs on his/her respective wings.
Requirements
Essential Job Duties include:
• Prepares, administers and records medications in accordance with the facility’s policy.
• Orders medications and related supplies to ensure continuous availability.
• Assists with auditing, checking monthly medication and treatment sheets against physicians' orders.
• Performs technical nursing procedures such as, but not limited to, tube feeding, urinary catheterization, injections, wound care, inhalation treatment. Potential IV therapy, etc.
• Assists in admission of new residents following the facility’s admission procedures.
• Assists in coordinating the discharge/transfer of residents, makes necessary arrangements and completes necessary forms.
• Receives and properly processes physician's verbal or written orders.
• Evaluates residents’ needs, condition and care. Manages floor supplies, equipment, linens, etc. to meet unit needs. Ensures that equipment, such as the Crash Cart is in good working order.
• Documents nursing interventions, residents’ responses, treatment effectiveness, complications, etc.
• Oversees implementation of care plans.
• Ability to adapt quickly to the EMR
- Must be prepared to follow all PPE protocols, and supervise staff in donning PPE.
Schedule: Bespoke assignments with various shifts or combinations of shifts to suit. 1st, 2nd &3rd shifts.
Applicants should be knowledgeable of the needs of geriatric residents and able to perform CPR. Two (2) years experience or more as a Registered Nurse or LPN preferred, one year (1) considered. Must meet basic health requirements, including 2-Step TB test, as well as successfully pass a Drug Test and Background Screening. Positions require standing, bending, lifting, etc. most of the work day. A competency test must be passed along with certain regualtory modules.
