We are a licensed 46-bed dually certified building with an attached Assisted Living that has achieved five star rating due to our talented team members providing exceptional care to our residents. New Hampton Health Care and Rehabilitation Center is hiring immediately for a Director of Nursing (DON) to join our established clinical and management team. Director of Nursing Job Summary : The Director of Nursing (DON) plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Nursing Services department to ensure the highest degree of care in accordance with all laws, regulations, and organization standards. Maintains a physical, social, and psychological environment which will be conducive to the best interest and welfare of all residents in conjunction with our values.

Qualifications :

• RN with active State of Iowa License (required).
• One year full-time Long Term Care (LTC) nurse supervisory / management experience (required).
• Current knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations (highly desired).
• Assess residents needs and cares on a daily basis. Conduct resident care conferences.
• Oversight of daily staffing and schedules.
• Directly working with your ADON to make sure all necessary nursing issues are resolved.
• Strong business and financial management skills, knowledge of reimbursement requirements and regulations, strong critical thinking and analytical skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills will all help lend to your success.
• Ability to set and achieve relevant and challenging goals for self and team, including hiring and developing a quality nursing team.
• Proactively anticipate and respond to resident, staff and facility needs.
