Title: Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Master’s Degree in Administration, NC Administrator’s Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Certified Athletic Administrator, Certified Master Athletic Administrator, or Registered Athletic Administrator by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association preferred.
3. Three to five years’ experience coaching sports and as an athletic director, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
4. Valid North Carolina’s driver’s license.
5. Five or more years of experience as a Public School Administrator or equivalent.
6. Other qualifications as the Superintendent and Board may find appropriate.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services
JOB GOAL: To effectively manage, direct and coordinate the responsibilities of the Athletics Programs, Driver’s Education Programs, and Hearing Board for New Hanover County Schools.
Terms of Employment: Twelve month work year/At Will/FLSA Exempt
