What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chiropractic Assistant position at New Haven Chiropractic & Sports Rehabilitation?
JWe are a chiropractic office located in New Haven in need of an assistant.
This is the ideal position for someone who is friendly, outgoing, punctual, and wants to help others to live a healthy life. Compensation is hourly.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting and assisting patients
- Answering phones and emails
- Verifying health insurance information
- Collecting patient's payments
- Mailing bills and receipts
- Scheduling appointments
- Organizing and writing patients exercises on the rehab board daily
- Assisting the doctor with patient’s rehab exercises and demonstrating the exercises
- Administering therapeutic modalities
- Communicating with the staff
- Calling insurance companies to check on claims status
- Recording payments for each patients visit
- Inputting transactions and checks into excel
- Light housekeeping duties (collecting garbage, washing and folding towels, sweeping)
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Previous office and clerical experience
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Organizational and time management abilities
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Bilingual candidates are a plus
- Data entry and filing experience
Hours are: Monday through Friday 11:00am-4:30pm.
This job is a physical job as the assistant will be required to demonstrate and guide in specific exercises on daily basis.
