The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in all relevant aspects of the pharmacy's operations. Job description:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Provide patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Prefer candidates with prior 340B work experience
- Fills and exchanges patient-specific unit-dose medication fills
- Processing prescription insurance claims
- Verifying customer and insurance information is accurate
- Resolving rejected claim issues
- Interacting with medical providers, customers, and insurance companies to retrieve additional information
- Determining correct claims payment or denial for reimbursement and their proper amount
- Entering data into systems
- Investigating and processing claim payment adjustments and determining their causes.
Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of pharmacy technician duties, including medication administration and critical care protocols.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring attention to detail, particularly in medication preparation and administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated team player, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail while maintaining a sense of urgency
- Requires a high school diploma or GED
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician required
- One Year of work experience working in a full-service pharmacy
- Computer skills required.
