What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher - Mild/Mod position at New Haven Youth and Family Services?
Teaches SED male youth from ages 12-17 while establishing and reinforcing acceptable student behavior, attitudes, social and skills. Assesses the needs of each student by designing, developing and delivering an appropriate program of individualized instruction. Develops progressive skills and maintains a specific program for each child in which success is the major objective. Confers frequently with professionals on the treatment team and families, in conjunction with the IEP process, regarding each student’s progress, assisting all in establishing realistic goals with concrete suggestions for implementation.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
