Purpose of the Job:
Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by applying analytical skills to assess the quality of services and operational efficiencies at NEW Health, or assess new business opportunities as follows:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Extracts and validates data from a variety of internal and external sources to design, construct, and analyze reports based on the needs of the organization.

Using validated data, creates reports, dashboards and tools that assist end users in their daily work.

Identifies indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct them.

Makes recommendations and reports findings to leadership based on continuing analysis of data.

Works collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties for the Utilization and Care Management Department
-
Automate tools that monitor our managed care membership including patient utilization, quality incentive programs and other value-based payment arrangements.

Identifies, analyzes, and reports opportunities to decrease costs and increase revenue for managed care members.
Additional Duties for the Finance Department
-
Participates in the budget and forecasting process, including creating tools that independently test budget assumptions and outputs for accuracy.

Develops and maintains analytics of key performance indicators within the revenue and procurement cycles.

Develops and maintains tools that test the accuracy of major revenue streams.

Analyzes and makes recommendations to management on initiatives to increase revenue among NHPs lines of business including medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and telehealth.

Manages systems to track and reconcile FQHC encounters and population with their corresponding reimbursements including Medicaid Differential, Medicaid Enhancement, Capitation, and Medicare.

Participates in the annual budget process and UDS reporting.

Assists in various account analyses, reporting, and day to day accounting functions.

Develops department goals and metrics supporting those goals.

Develops new procedures and processes as needed to grow with the organization and the industry.
-
Builds and maintains a team environment with the goal of providing excellent customer service.

Assists CFO and Data Analyst in contract evaluations.

Presents and prepares information requested for meetings accurately and professionally.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel may be required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferred. Three years’ experience working with data, report building/interpretation and analysis. Experience and working knowledge of analytic/report writing programs, including Microsoft SQL, SSAS, and SSIS, are preferred. Proficiency in Excel is required.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications (including Power Automate and Power Platform) is required. Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills, as well as commitment to quality, are required. Ability to self-direct and determine priorities required. Confidentiality, flexibility, accuracy, and thoroughness required. Knowledge of healthcare applications is desirable.
Skills: Must be innovative, analytical with technical skills, and have strong business acumen and general accounting knowledge. Understanding of third-party payers' operating procedures and practices is required. Superior Communication and interpersonal skills required. High level of motivation and initiative to accomplish goals required. Computer skills required. Organizational skills and attention to detail required. Knowledge of appropriate HIPPA regulations is preferred.
