New Heights Charter School is Massachusetts’ only public school that involves all grades (6-12) in the Early College approach. Nearly all our 11th and 12th graders are full-time students on a college campus with younger students earning college credits at the school. You will join a committed, creative team of educators who provide academic and social-emotional support to young people coming from high-need backgrounds ensuring they are college and career-ready. We support our staff with a wide array of professional development opportunities and coaching. Overview of Responsibilities:
  • Manage data platforms including DeansList, G-Suite, Mosaic, Clever, and PowerSchool; coordinate data integrations across platforms; support Network and school staff with these platforms as needed.
  • Support, maintenance, integrity, and implementation of all systems including email, internet, telecommunication, special education, and student information software systems, to enable the school to meet all local, state, and federal communication and reporting requirements.
  • Work with the Leadership Team to identify, plan, and administer all technology and professional development needs.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor the Technology ticketing system and resolve tickets accordingly.
  • Anticipate needs and supply classrooms and offices with technology.
  • Serve as a technical contact for PowerSchool SIS and support the administering of PowerSchool databases, including:
    • Attending live and online training in PowerSchool SIS management
      • Relaying information from training as needed to the team
    • Serve as a point of escalation for technical issues, including both SIS database needs and PowerSchool support needs
    • Collating and updating resources for PowerSchool and sharing to the school staff
    • Manage importing and exporting of various types of data, as needed
    • Manage data quality initiatives as requested
    • Supporting our school with data processes (storing grades, etc.) at end-of-quarter and end-of-year
    • Ensure compliance with DESE requirements in all data platforms.
    • Ensuring fidelity of enrollment data
  • Establish firewalls, virus protection and other measures to assure efficient use of technology and to secure systems and individual computers from inappropriate access or use.
  • Establish and communicate clear timelines and goals for all school technology initiatives.
  • Maintain phone, video surveillance, and computer network systems directly or indirectly by assigning specialists or contracting, within budget parameters, with technology services companies.
  • Report to the job during emergencies and perform tasks that are off school hours.
  • Support with state and federal accountability data reporting, including SIMS, EPIMS, SCS, CRDC.
  • Planning for technology, data, phones, and camera systems for new build-outs.
  • Secure E-Rate funding.
  • Create/maintain/support all user access information for various software systems.
  • Roll out new hardware including new staff laptops, student Chromebooks, projectors, and speakers, as required during the school year.
  • Manage school-wide student assessments, especially NWEA MAP and MCAS testing, and work collaboratively with the Curriculum and Assessment team to schedule assessments.
  • Support staff and students to troubleshoot technology issues.
  • Ability to manage a cohesive team and delegate tasks accordingly.
  • Perform additional/other technology/software services as required.
  • Work with the Assistant Director of IT in drafting and implementing the standard operating procedure(SOP) manual for the technology department

Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
