New Heights Charter School is Massachusetts’ only public school that involves all grades (6-12) in the Early College approach. Nearly all our 11th and 12th graders are full-time students on a college campus with younger students earning college credits at the school. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Student Support at Massasoit Community College (MCC) Campus
- Provide accurate attendance records and sit in on all assigned college courses.
- Provide instructional and behavior management support of students while on the MCC Campus and during classes (as determined by each college professor).
- Serve as a point of contact for MCC faculty.
- Student Support at the School
- Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons and/or additional instructional materials that support student’s learning of their college content.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction, when needed.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing procedures.
- Encourage, monitor, and provide feedback on the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' academic and behavioral progress and development.
- Participate in department, school, district, instructional coaching, and parent meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned
