Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. Duties
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Assist clients in developing and maintaining life skills through structured activities and community engagement.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by adhering to resident rights and implementing best practices in care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other staff to create individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, incidents, and any changes in behavior or health status.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to first aid, memory care, and long-term care practices.
- Lift and assist clients as needed while ensuring comfort and safety during transfers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in direct support, home health, or social work is preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and best practices in long-term care is essential.
- Ability to lift clients safely and provide physical assistance when necessary.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid or willingness to obtain certification within the first month of employment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $16.10 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
