Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues related to software, hardware, and networking. The IT Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our systems and supporting end-users in their daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide desktop support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow.
- Manage VPN connections and assist users with remote access issues.
- Support LAN configurations and maintain network connectivity for all devices.
- Utilize tools such as Jira for tracking and managing IT service requests.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance IT infrastructure and implement improvements.
- Document all technical procedures and solutions for future reference.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software components to ensure the smooth running of computer/server systems.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware and being the primary point of contact for IT support within the company.
- Provides computer and network support for the organization by installing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing possible hardware and software issues.
- Ensure all IT infrastructure is up to date and running effectively and efficiently; all updates are maintained
- Ensure that the organization is meeting all security requirements that are mandated by licensing and accrediting bodies and current liability insurance policies.
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
Qualifications
- Proficiency in computer networking concepts and practices.
- Experience with software troubleshooting, particularly in a Windows environment.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools such as Remedy or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of LAN technologies and VPN configurations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with users at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network ) are a plus but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in an IT support role is preferred.
