What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Advancement Assistant position at New Hope Christian Academy?
The Advancement Assistant supports the New Hope Christian Academy Advancement Team by helping execute the
day-to-day tasks that keep our fundraising, marketing, communications, alumni relations, and donor engagement
efforts running smoothly.
Pay Range: $18-$25 per hour, 20-25 per week
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a love for God and His children
- Draft and send donor thank-you letters, emails, and other correspondence
- Support scheduling, follow-ups, and outreach for donor meetings and calls
- Assist with the production of printed materials, donor packets, and presentations
- Take photos and gather content for newsletters and social media
- Accurately enter gifts and donor information into our CRM (Raiser’s Edge)
- Maintain up-to-date constituent records
- Prepare mailing lists for communications and appeals
- Generate simple reports as requested
- Help ensure data integrity and consistent recordkeeping
- Provide logistical support for events (set-up, vendor coordination, RSVPs, etc.)
- Help prepare and distribute invitations, emails, and event reminders
- Support event day logistics and guest experience
- Assist with alumni communications and engagement efforts
- Contribute to the drafting of newsletters and fundraising messages
- Research donors, grants, and foundations
- Coordinate with other departments as needed to gather materials or updates
- Professing Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is committed to Christ-centered
- Associate degree or higher preferred but not required
- 1–2 years of administrative, development, or school support experience preferred
- Experience with data entry or CRM software (Raiser’s Edge is a plus, but not required)
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A warm, professional demeanor with a willingness to learn and grow
- Detail-oriented and reliable, with strong follow-through
- Enjoy checking things off a to-do list and helping a team stay organized
- A strong communicator who is comfortable writing emails, thank-you notes, and newsletter copy
- Someone who likes a mix of computer work and hands-on activity
- Curious and open to learning the ins and outs of fundraising and advancement
- Flexible, positive, and able to adapt to changing needs
- Strong organizational skills
