Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth & Adult Intervention Specialist/ Program Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and families to provide support, guidance, and resources aimed at improving their overall well-being. This role involves collaborating with educators, social workers, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans that address the unique needs of each child.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervise Street Outreach Worker and or Youth Intervention Specialist

2. Provide guidance and support to all staff. Ensuring to always consult with the program director.

3. Evaluate interactions by all staff and clients by monitoring Apricot Data to ensure all clients' documentation is current.

4. Maintain all case records and ensure staff are actively documenting to support all services provided.

5. Maintain constant communication with the Program Director and the CEO regarding program needs, concerns, and/or changes.

6. Ensure all staff members enter their work hours correctly in Paylocity and by the established payroll dates.

7. Monitor staff’s calendars daily to ensure productivity is met.

8. Monitor permission slips.

9. Monitor Money orders and receipts submitted by staff to ensure all required data is provided.

10. Identify appropriate youth to participate in the project based on targeted characteristics.

11. Manage a caseload of clients.

12. Recruit and retain project youth by providing access to job skills training, information, resources, prosocial-recreating activities, role modeling, and encouragement.

13. Provide outreach services, including street, home, and institutional contacts with project youth.

14. Advocate for project youth in securing social services, education, and job-related opportunities, provide information about services, and assess needs.

15. Assess the needs of family members as related to the targeted youths’ gang involvement, identify gang-affected siblings of target participants, and make referrals to appropriate services.

16. Provide information on available services for participants and family members.

17. Plan and attend social and recreational activities for targeted youth.

18. Identify community resources to assist in the implementation of the project.

19. Communicate with Probation Officers regarding probation-referred clients.

20. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/ G.E.D.
  • 3 yrs Supervisor experience
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to mediate disputes effectively.
  • Proven ability to educate and mentor children in various settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with families and professionals.
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed in overcoming challenges.
