Description
The main goal of the 'Beginning Kids Coach' is to teach gymnastics techniques that are consistent with New Hope Gymnastics' and its mission, vision, and values. This means being fun, loving, and enthusiastic with every student and parent. Each 'Beginning Kids Coach' should know how to run a class from start to finish, know all basic gymnastics techniques, and be able to communicate with children and parents about their child's progress. Each 'Beginning Kids Coach' should know how to teach gymnastics skills, encourage a fun environment, and develop skills and drills to ensuring every child remains active throughout the class.
A 'Beginning Kids Coach's' goal for each student should be to perfectly balance skill, exhaustion, and fun. Each coach should be capable of teaching every skill on the New Hope Gymnastics' 'Girls Skill Chart,' have the discipline to control a class, and follow all administrative policies that apply to the 'Beginning Kids Coach' position.
Requirements
Requirements :
- Passing of the 'Basic Kids Technique Test'
- 1 hour sexual harassment course
- 2 hour 'New Hope Gymnastics Orientation' video training
- 4 hour 'New Hope Gymnastics Event Skill' video training
- 2 hours of individual training with an 'Advanced Kids Coach' or 'Kids Program Director'
- Every 'Beginning Kids Coach' is required to know all current :
- New Hope Kids Warm Up'
- New Hope Stretch Order'
- New Hope Positions'
- Girl's Event Skills'
- Girl's Event Routines'
- Every 'Beginning Kids Coach' is required to have completed 12 total hours of shadowing with a 'Intermediate Coach,' 'Advanced Kids Coach,' or program director. There must be a minimum of 8 hours completed by following a coach and 4 hours completed by leading the class with the coach an assistant.
- For the safety of the kids every 'Beginning Kids Coach' must have the physicality to lift kids ages 4-11
- Every 'Beginning Kids Coach' must be fun and enthusiastic
- For the safety of the kids and yourself you must have the ability to be free of all jewelry that can be easily snagged during coaching Values Needed :
