Job description
At Woodlake Healthcare we are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as HHA/Assisted Living Aide. As an HHA/Assisted Living Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals.
Duties
Assists with basic personal care including but not limited to bathing, hair care, skin care, nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, incontinence care, nutrition, and hydration.
Assists client with transfers, exercise, ambulation, planned physical activity.
Assists client with household services essential to health care at home including but not limited to meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping, escorts.
Administers medications or treatments including but not limited to oral, suppository, eye drops, ear drops, inhalants, topical or administered through a gastrostomy tube if medications are set up by a Woodlake Healthcare registered nurse.
Performs vital signs as directed.
Provides whirlpool baths, as assigned; cleans and sanitizes tub room.
Accounts for time spent in care of each client.
Skills
- Proficiency in providing personal care and hygiene assistance
- Knowledge of medical documentation and record-keeping
- Experience in home health systems and procedures
- Ability to monitor patient well-being and observe any changes in health status
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and their families
- Compassion, empathy, and patience in caring for individuals with diverse needs
